Join the Zipper Pouch Challenge
One of my most favorite things to make are Zipper Pouches. They’re perfect for all those cute Foundation Paper Pieced blocks I want to make but don’t know what to do with. And for sweet pieces of trial patchwork. Or leftover quilt blocks. Don’t forget that special appliqué. You get the idea, they’re perfect for everything. That’s why I’m hosting a Zipper Pouch Challenge next week!
Join me live for the Zipper Pouch Challenge, October 4-6! Whether you’ve made many zipper pouches before or this is your first time, we’ll be learning together, live on Zoom, how to make the perfect zipper pouch in whatever size you desire! I’ll be teaching you firsthand how you can turn (almost) any piece of fabric or special quilt block into a zipper pouch to use and enjoy!
Join me for three live Zoom classes
– get the link when you sign up via email:
- Tuesday, October 4th at 3pm EST – types of zippers, basic interfacing, pouch size
- Wednesday, October 5th at 3pm EST – prepare the zipper and fabric for sewing
- Thursday, October 6th at 3pm EST – assemble the pouch
Gather Supplies:
You can bring your own supplies and sew along with me, or just watch me live and then sew on your own. The recording will be available after the challenge ends. If you want to make a pouch with me live you’ll need:
- Fabric – the same amount for the outside of the pouch and lining
- Interfacing – I’ll be using Pellon Fusible Thermolam, batting, Pellon Shape-flex, or skip the interfacing if using a heavier fabric like canvas
- Zipper – I’ll be using a standard YKK 14″ zipper, but any zipper will work, it just needs to be the length of your desired pouch opening, you can read about my favorite zippers in this blog post.
- Zipper Foot – usually comes with your sewing machine but sometimes is an additional accessory.
Win Prizes:
And, just for attending the workshop, you could win one of three $40 gift certificates to the fabric shop of your choice! Winners will be chosen during the live workshops. I can’t wait to get to know you and sew together!
Is it hard to get Zoom on my computer? Never have used Zoom.
I am interested if I can get Zoom
I’m trying to find day 3 tutorial. Has it been posted?
