Lined Drawstring Bag by In Color Order
My friend Susi of Lilla Louise and I are hosting a swap over on Instagram {which seems like the local hangout for quilters these days}, and our swappers are making the lined drawstring bag by Jeni Baker of In Color Order. But, since this bag is so fun, and has lots of variations, it seemed perfect to share some ideas here too. The bag in the photo above was made by my mom for Norah, isn’t it adorable?! I can’t wait to have one of my own.
Here’s the link for the tutorial, we’ll all be making the same size, so swappers won’t need to buy the pattern, though they are welcome to!
I think the patchwork version is just adorable, and would be perfect for Moda Candy {2 1/2″ squares} too!
And there are three cute striped options here. And, if all these outside options aren’t enough, there are two pocket tutorials too.
Here are some cute outside pockets, tutorial by Sew-Fantastic, you can find the links here.
And, here’s a tutorial by Jenelle of Echinops & Aster for Imagine Gnats on adding a dividing zipper pocket to the inside, you can find it here.
So, there are tons of options for making this pouch cute and unique! And, even if you’re not part of this swap, these bags are a great item to have for storing all sorts of things, and well, they’re just plain cute! Happy Saturday! And, I’ll come back and share my finish once I decide what my partner will love!
What a cute bag! And I agree, sewing is my me time 🙂
Thank you for these great links Jennie!!!! This will really help me to make a nicer bag!!!!
