Bee Block Sewing & It’s A New Year
Here we are in another New Year. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday, I hope the same for you. I had a very relaxing time visiting with family and spending time with my husband, who was home most of the days.
To get back into sewing, I had a Sew Sweet Bee Block that is very overdue to make and send off to Pam of Pam Kitty Morning . (Everyone else’s blocks are in the mail already.) She chose a super cute block with lots of different pieces in it.
There were 32 – 2″ squares to start with. My plan was to use 4 different colors so that it would make it easier to decide which fabrics to use. I was able to get out my scrap boxes and cut up squares from them. Yay for scrappy blocks!!
I loved how the 2″ squares looked in rows in each color.
In this picture you can see the print out that was included in her block request. It was very helpful, I used it as a reference while making the block several times.
I really love this block and I think Pam’s cute fabric paired with the dots for the HST’s is really cute too!! This will be the last block for the Sew Sweet Bee I will make, I have decided to opt out of Bee’s this year and maybe do a few different things!! Still lots of sewing though!! I have really enjoyed this past year belonging to the Sew Sweet Bee, the Prescott AZ Custom Home Builder Society and it was great getting to know these ladies a little bit better. Thank you so much Donna of Donna’s Lavender Nest for hosting this fun bee block swap!
I hope you have a great day, it has been a little hard getting back to the usual things after Christmas and the New Year, but we must!!
I LOVE IT!!! Your block turned out so cute, thank you so much for making it!
