Little Geofabulous Skirt
I sewed my girl a skirt today. I’ve been mulling over the idea of how to curate a handmade wardrobe for my daughters, and have decided to make skirts. tops, and dresses, and then buy pants, leggings, and t-shirts. Anxious to get started, I used some of the Geofabulous leftover from the Felicity bag and made this quick little skirt!
I tried to get some cute pictures to show everyone, but my girl was more concerned about her Minnie Mouse and what her silly brother was doing.
So, instead, here are some fun, action shots! And look at that crazy hair, I could not get her to let me put a ponytail in it, and so, sometimes she just wins!
I’m really excited to put more handmade pieces in my daughters’ wardrobes. Wearing clothes my mom made growing up is such a fond memory for me, I want my girls to have the same! Have a happy weekend!
Such a pretty skirt and your little girl looks so happy wearing it!

So fun and feminine. I know what you mean about fond memories of hand made clothes growing up.
I love the skirt!! Skirts are so easy! And so fun! I wish I could wear half of what my girls wear. She looks ecstatic, and don’t worry about the hair. Neither of my girls like having their hair “done”. Karina at least lets me brush hers now, thank goodness. Elena HATES having it brushed and instead prefers to let it congeal into mats so thick and impossible to detangle that I must cut them out of the back of her hair. Hence, she is semi-bald in back. Not really, I mean she has hair still but some of it is very short. The stinking mats stick straight out from her head some days!! Anyway, Norah’s hair is beautiful and she looks happy, and that’s what counts. 🙂
Such a sweet skirt for such a cute model!
Very cute skirt. My mom made a lot of my clothes growing up. In junior high and high school I made much of my own clothes. It seemed for a while that making your own clothes fell out of fashion. Recently I’ve made my daughter some really cute skirts. She loves them and it makes me feel so happy.
I just love this skirt – it is so beautiful. Would you mind sharing what pattern you used?
What a darling little skirt. Like you, I love having the little girls in my family wearing handmade clothing. They love it too!
