Catch Up On Life
Last week I took the little ones to Virginia to visit my parents! Lots of fun happened, but not a lot of sewing {or, no sewing at all}. We played in the pool, shopped, and enjoyed a little bit of a break from the routine of life. Sadly, I didn’t even break out my camera because we were too busy {and Lydia decided she should be held all.the.time!}.
My parents are a little strange, as I’m sure everyone can claim at some level. My parents gave me a potty training girls book that they explain had lost and could not give me in time… I’m not planning to have anymore kids, is this a message? We did manage to get in a little shopping too, some lovely fabrics were on sale {I can’t resist a good sale!}, so I see some summer skirts in my future! If you need some coupons to shop online, then check out these great Target coupons, I love shopping here.
Today I’m unpacking and getting some more work done in anticipation of a pattern release this coming Monday.
What have you been up to?
I haven’t sewn a single stitch either this last week. Lots of spending time with the little ones though. I spent a night trying to sort my stash out but didn’t get very far. Love the purple leaf fabric you picked up. 🙂
So glad you took some me/family time. Its so easy to skip that part of life.
Look at those cuties! Gosh I can’t believe how big they have gotten!! Karina starts Kindergarten in the fall, and Elena will start preschool. So we’re just milking the summer for all its worth. Oh, and potty training. Woohoo. Karina was so easy but Elena is very willful and so it’s not going quite as easily. But we’re about halfway there.
I’m so glad you were able to visit your parents! Virginia has had some good weather lately, too, so I hope you were here for some of that.
What a lovely visit to your parents! It sounds perfect….and the goodies from the sale make up completely for a lack of sewing time!
Enjoy your week.
