My First Visit to Quilt Market – Spring 2014 – Part 1

I stopped to take a picture as soon as I walked through the doors…this is what I saw!

I’m back from my first-ever quilt market, Spring Quilt Market 2014 in Pittsburgh, and wow, what a trip! I felt a little {a lot!} overwhelmed by all the people and fabric, and I tried to absorb as much as possible. My mom and dad met me in Pittsburgh and watched Silas and Norah so I could attend market. I couldn’t have done it without them. But, enough jabbering, I know you really just want to see pictures!  So, here are the booths I thought to photograph, though there were so many I wish I’d have caught on camera!

Well, getting these photos up took a lot longer than I expected, so I’m going to have to write another post with more photos!  I hope you have enjoyed them so far.  It was a really amazing trip, even if it did involve a lot of driving hours {Lydia was not so happy about that}. I feel a little bit of a letdown now that I’m home, but maybe a couple hours at the sewing machine will remedy that. I’ll have more photos for you on Thursday.

If you’ve written {or seen} a posts with quilt market photos that you’d like to share, feel free to leave a link in the comments so we can all see! There were also lots of photos on Instagram with the tag #quiltmarket, if you’re not an Instagram user, you can view them here.

  1. What great pictures! How exciting that you got to go to quilt market. I made the pink dress in Patty Sloniger’s booth 😀 we’re in the HMQG together.

  2. Jennie your pictures were fabulous and gave me an entirely different look at Quilt Market. You hit booths that none of the folks that I follow on IG showed. Many said they forgot to take pictures the first day and never stopped back the second or on Sunday morning to snap a few. So I feel like I’ve been give a trip through a totally different so so far!! Maybe Part 2 will have some doubles, but that’s the nice thing about following several different people. Hopefully, if you play your cards right you will get to see everything. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures. It was nice to see what S Fieke is working on and some of the others.
