the Jane bag {pattern update}
Along the lines of organization and cleaning things up this year, it seemed an appropriate time to finish updating our oldest patterns. So, today we have the updated Jane bag!
The Jane bag is our very first pattern design, before we were even thinking of designing our own things. Sadly, back then, I didn’t know much about writing patterns, so I gave this one my best effort, but as our patterns have developed, I found the initial writing of this one to be lacking. So, it’s received a facelift!
The pattern itself is perfect for someone who has some sewing and quilting experience, but is looking to venture into making bags. It has three design options, to make best use of a jelly roll, fat quarters, or yardage {the first bag is made with Good Fortune by Kate Spain for Moda, the rest are Wonderland by Momo for Moda}.
I know I say this often in my posts, but it is so exciting the way things continue to unfold for us with this shop. We’re working on some more projects and can’t wait to share them with you. Thank you again for your continued encouragement and support!
Love your updated jane bag, it looks really fresh and current! The pattern is just the kind of bag I like to use….both a practiacl size and pretty too.
Wishing you a happy week!

Love the updated Jane! Great size. Great colors. Have a happy day!
It is a joy to watch you grow as a pattern designer and shop owner. Love and hugs for both you and your Mom. OXXOOX
Love the fat quarter version you have made of the Jane bag. I think that version is definitely my favourite. It’s in my list of projects to make. 🙂
