Random {Sewing} Friday
I have been sewing on a variety of things this week. First, a bag pattern that has been in the works for a long time. I have made this messenger bag twice before, this time will be for the pattern. Hopefully it will be finished soon. (More on that in the future!) I am really loving how it is turning out!
This is how it looks currently, almost finished. It is made with Enchant by Cinderberry Stitches. {If you haven’t visited her website you are really missing out on a lot of cuteness}. Such a cute line of fabric, I think perfect for this bag. I am trying to decide on the binding. Maybe use another fabric altogether or stay with the same line, decisions, decisions, decisions.
Speaking of bag patterns. You will want to go see Sew Bitter Sweet Designs, our Lucy hobo bag is on their blog today, she reviewed the pattern for us. I love this version. It is so fun to see our patterns made and see the fabric combinations used. Thank you Melissa!
Also, I made a cute little Easter basket using Amy’s tutorial. {This would be the moment I realized I took this photo without dusting!} Amy has the cutest projects and ideas on her blog. This little basket is so cute and really quick to make. I love making little things that are not only cute but quick to finish, especially while I am making something that takes more time. Easter is coming and not that far away either. If I get started now I might just be able to make some more little baskets for all those cute little girls in my family.
My granny square quilt has borders. What do you think? I like it but I hope it doesn’t take away from the granny squares that I love! More decisions!
I think I have been random enough for now. I have a lot of sewing to do today that I should get back to. But before I say goodbye, I want to remind everyone that we are having a giveaway on our blog that ends tonight. Enter if you have not yet and tell a friend since we have 2 sets to give away.
I think the borders are a perfect touch!
Lovely bag and cute little basket too. I love the border on your new quilt, I think it frames the blocks perfectly! Love those fresh colours too.
Happy weekend!

New bag for pattern: so cute!
Bag being reviewed: awesome! You guys deserve the best.
Easter basket/bag: that is about the prettiest, cutest thing I’ve ever seen. And dust? What are you talking about? I cannot see any dust, and even if I did, it only means your house is still cleaner than mine! 🙂
Quilt border: I love it! I don’t think it detracts at all–in fact, I think it is the perfect way to draw attention to the granny squares. It’s gorgeous!!
I Love the grannie square quilt!
I really like all of your projects! Your granny square quilt is awesome. The border is perfect for this quilt.

That border really finishes the quilt off! Love it.
I love it with the borders!
I just loved your pattern. It was perfect for me because I am trying to really learn and perfect my bag making skills! Thank you!
The granny square quilt is gorgeous, I think the borders add to it, not detract. I love the Enchanted line, I had to buy some as it has cute little bunnies on it!
Soooooo pretty. I love it!
I definitely appreciate this edge on the nana square duvet! And also I really like this fabrics as well! Your messenger bag can be sweet. I really like experiencing your projects… Your shades and paper prints on the fabrics you select are usually generally so desirable.
I adore your granny squares quilt! It’s beautiful in its colour scheme. I don’t think the border detracts from it at all, but sets it off nicely.
