Welcome to the kick off of A Season by Hand. We’re beginning our big move this week, which will include a week of driving! So I’ve packed up my bag of embroidery, paper piecing, and even a little hand quilting, and am ready to do a little slow down stitching while I’m away from my sewing machine.
I’ve enlisted a lovely group of bloggers who are excited to share some inspiration and tutorials for making things by hand this summer {or winter, for our southern hemisphere friends}. All the projects will be tailored toward things you can do while you’re away from home, at the park, visiting with friends, and even on the road.

Please be safe. We are dealing with Andrea: the wind, rain, tornado watches, and trees crashing down on our power lines. It’s difficult to sew and do internet work when don’t have electrical power.
