Baby Stella Dresses
This weekend I took a break from working on projects to sew up a couple dresses for Norah’s Baby Stella Doll.Β After discovering her love of baby dolls, we got her Baby Stella for Christmas, but she was in need of some handmade clothes.Β Surprisingly, Baby Stella patterns are very hard to find!Β I eventually found Twinflower Designs on Etsy and Jennifer was willing to sell her pattern for the reversible dress {I am e-mailing her about when the pattern might be available, if you’re interested The pattern is available here.}.Β I didn’t actually make my dress reversible, but mostly just used the pattern pieces {I have a difficult time sticking to the pattern sometimes…}.
I thought the dress turned out really cute!Β The fabrics are Apple Jack by Tim + Beck and Cherry on Top by Keiki for Moda.Β The top stitching on the neckline got a little rough in one spot, so I grabbed some crochet flowers my mom gave me from Annie Design on Etsy, and they worked perfectly.
Stella also comes with a pacifier that magnetically attaches to her mouth, so I made an attempt at a matching one.Β It turned out okay, but needs a little tweaking!
Since the first dress turned out cute, I thought maybe she needed a second, pink dress.Β I used Pink Chevron by Riley Blake and Sakura Park Scroll by Sentimental Studios for Moda.Β I think another headband and pacifier are in order, but I ran out of time.
I had to chime in and say the photo is adorable!! The little baby doll clothes for Norah’s dolly is really cute too!!
My darling daughter just got the same doll for her birthday last month, but the pants won’t stay up, I am so going to have to make matching dresses for my Z and her baby! Thanks for the idea. And Happy birthday! Mine is tomorrow, we are close, but a few years off from one another, lol.
Your dresses turned out sweet!
Happy Happy birthday!! I also celebrated this weekend! Hope it was a great one!

Happy birthday! I want to get one of these dolls for my granddaughter. She’s only four months old so that gives me time to play with it! I would love the pacifier pattern! Lovely picture of you and your little ones!

Happy birthday, Jennie! I love those little dolly dresses. Here’s the pattern I used for doll diapers: http://www.skiptomylou.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/baby-doll-diaper-11.pdf. The only modification I made was to topstitch over the diaper to give it more of a finished look. Miss C. loved having a little stash of those diapers on hand when she was a toddler. I made her a little diaper bag and some scrappy flannel wipes – I can’t tell you how much time was spent changing dolly diapers during those years! π
My mom made my dolly’s clothes, too. I cherish the few that I still have. Your daughter is so blessed….
What an adorable doll & clothes!!
And happy birthday Jennie! I didn’t realise we were the same age π
Hope you had an awesome one π

Can you help, I’m making clothes for my granddaughters birthday and they’re for Baby Stella. I don’t have the doll with me. Can you send measurements for the arms, legs and the back width/height for jacket, and waist? Your help with this is much appreciated.
Did you ever make a tutorial for the pacifier? My daughter just got a baby Stella for Christmas, and I want to make her some extra pacifiers.
My daughter is receiving a Baby Stella for Valentines Day and I would love to make this dress for her new baby. I went to the Etsy shop and discovered the pattern was sold and the owner has not responded to my inquiry about selling the pattern again. Very bummed, but am hopeful that I can figure out how to make the dress anyway.
