Kindle Keyborad Book-Style Cover
I cannot seem to stop making these cute little Kindle covers {you can find my tutorial here}! Here’s my latest one, for the Kindle Keyboard version {I made this for Danny as a swap for a scarf she made me, photos soon!}.
I don’t actually own a Kindle Keyboard, so I made a little cardboard one to make sure the elastics were in the correct position {I hope! okay, the bottom elastics were too small…I forgot to take into consideration the thickness and rounded corners of the Kindle…so if you make one, make the bottom elastics larger like the top!}. I used some 2 1/2″ squares from my Just Wing It jelly roll and a little Kona Azure.
I used Jelly Roll strips for the inside too {with Kona Azure on the reverse} to give it a cute, patchwork look.
And, I couldn’t resist a few embroidery details either! The butterflies are from the Garden Steps :: Block Two, and the flowers are a smaller version of Embroidery 101 :: Block One. Because most of the Just Wing It prints are so large, I think they add a nice touch.
If you want to make one, the finished size is 11 3/4″ x 8 3/8″ {open}, and I used the same method as my Kindle Cover tutorial {see my note above about elastic!}.
I love my Kindle and would love it even more if it had a pretty cover like this one! Great job!
How delightfully cute that is! I’m really into the embroidery right now.

Very cute and love the embroidery!!
Perfect! Another pattern I had purchased did not really allow for the Kindle Keyboard, which I have…I will be making yours instead! It is so sweet with the little embroidery touches. Thank you!
I LOVE it! I got it in the mail yesterday and I can tell you all, it is even better in person!
So cute!
