Stash Project: Sweetness Quilt
Well, I’ve been stashing this Bliss fabric for a while {and I had a couple charm packs too!} and now the time has finally come to make a quilt out of it {read: baby girl is dues any day now!}. So, here’s my version of “Sweet Pea” by Camille Roskelley from her book Simplify {I decided to call mine “Sweetness”}. While I had seen the pattern in the book, it was actually the mini version by Kristyne of Pretty by Hand {my mom is really the one who saw it, but when she showed me I knew I needed to make one}.
The original pattern was 42″ square, but I wanted mine to be a little longer, so I added a row of squares and a ruffle. I really can’t ever seem to just follow a pattern straight through, but I love that this is a unique version! Now I’m just anxious to see a little girl on it!
I really enjoyed using charm packs for this quilt, as I seem to collect them up and never actually use them. I like the look of all the pieces, without it being a lot of work. I would definitely make this quilt again!
Love the quilt! The ruffle is a lovely touch!
That is beautiful! I love the ruffle. Sadly, my machine has been neglected for far too long. Maybe tonight?
Love it! You did a beautiful job!
Well YAY!!!! This is so exciting. 🙂 It’s been so long since I entered this giveaway, I don’t even know what I’ve won!
Love the ruffle! Baby G is going to love fondling it with her chubby fingers!
Love the ruffle. Never seen that done before. The whole quilt is so sweet.
Jennie, that quilt is beautiful. The ruffle is pure sweetness! Please post a picture of the baby on it, when she arrives.
Congrats Heather! This is really beautiful Jennie! I do have some stash sewing planned for the next week, so I’ll have to write a post and link it. 🙂
I can’t wait to see a baby on your Sweetness Quilt either. It’s adorable.

That’s gorgeous! I have some bliss that I still have not cut into as well! =)
I made a baby quilt this week…so I added that to your link up! =)
You make the sweetest, cutest things!
Your quilt is so sweet and lovely!! 🙂
I like this design a lot, and think I’ll be making it in the future. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation!
A suggestion for your Stash Project v. 2012: let those of us who don’t have blogs participate! I followed the link to see what to do, since I recently finished a crib quilt that I was going to enter, and found I couldn’t.
Jennie, is it okay to link up more than one project? I have already linked one, but have another that I’d love to share!
Hope you’re doing well.
~Heather
