Libby Bag Sewing Pattern
…the Libby bag {PDF Sewing Pattern}. Inspired by the mosaic tiles that line the subway stations of New York City, and named after New York’s most famous lady, the Libby bag is amply sized and versatile.
It is large enough to carry everything you might need for the day {I can even fit my small laptop inside!} without sacrificing any fashion. And it’s not just a straight tote, but features a lovely and unique pleat on the sides to give it a little more character.
Some subtle quilting gives it even more personality, but still allows the fabric to take center stage {featured fabric is Fandango by Kate Spain for Moda}.
The pattern is available in our shop now, but is a more advanced pattern than our popular Jane and Isabella bags. But, if quilting is not for you, we will be offering a limited number of special order bags, just contact us for more information.
We put lots of love into creating this new design, and we hope you love it too. Thanks for all the encouraging words when I posted the prototype bag a couple of months ago, and the name suggestions really helped…I hadn’t thought about naming it after something in the city until then. And now, while baby is napping, it is back to sewing for me, we’ve been working on some more great stuff that we’ll be sharing with you soon!
Gorgeous bag pattern, I went to look at the price and such but it says it is sold. Are you selling more of them soon?

I LOVE that bag! It is so cute! Looks like it would make a great diaper bag, which I’ve been pondering whether or not to make one or just buy one.
