Some Relaxing Sewing Today
I have a few things to share today.
First up is this new book that we ordered, it arrived yesterday!! I had one a few years ago and it was so much fun to have that we decided it might be a great time to get another one. It is packed full of Quilt Shops!!! If you travel and would like to visit quilt shops in the area it has them listed by state and city with maps included. Or, if you just want to know where the quilt shops in your area are located, it is a great way to find them too. I have taken the pages out when traveling on an airplane and have them ready for visiting the shops. I have been on several trips out of state with my husband while he was traveling and I spent several days visiting shops and planning my trips in the area. I could go on and on about how much I love this book but I will let you decide for yourself. You can find it here if you are interested.
The relaxing part of sewing today has been the scrappy blocks I am making for the Quilty Fun Sew Along and Blog Tour, featuring Lori Holt’s book. Be sure to come back on Monday, it is our day to host the sew along here!! We are excited!! (BTW, Lori has a new book that she just introduced on her blog yesterday, it looks great!!)
Now for purple, I am playing with purples to see which one I like the best for my Sew Sweet Bee block for Donna of Donna’s Lavender Nest, that I am getting ready to make. I think I might run out to my LQS to see what they have on their shelves. Either way, a trip to a quilt shop sounds fun to me!! How about you, are you doing any fun, relaxing sewing today or maybe this weekend?
I hope you have a great one!!
