Unicorn :: Land of Magic Quilt
I am so excited to share this Unicorn I made from Kid Giddy’s Land of Magic Quilt, and oh my goodness, I am in love! When Kerry asked if I’d fill in for a blogger who couldn’t participate, I said sure because I thought the pattern was so cute, but then when I printed it out, I was super intimidated. I am not a master paper piecer, in fact, my experience is very limited, but over a few days of lots of work, I am so very proud of this block!
If you have been considering making something like this, I strongly encourage you to give it a try! With a little dedication and hard work, the pieces go together easily, and I was surprised how quickly it came together.
Take a minute to pop over to Kerry’s blog and see the rest of the Land of Magic blocks. My girls are already requesting that I make a mermaid to go with this sweet unicorn. I’m feeling much more confident in my paper piecing skills too, so I’m pretty excited to have more patterns I can make in the future.
Do you do foundation paper piecing? Any questions, though I’m not an expert, I’d love to point you in the right direction!
That is one of the most amazing quilt blocks I’ve ever seen! That’s just incredible that you can do that with fabric!!!
