The Bee Hive :: Quatrefoil
I’m excited to finally share my block from Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilts’s Bee Hive quilt block series {click here for more details and the other amazing blocks}. When Alyce first e-mailed me last fall, my first thought was, “I’m not very good at designing quilt blocks!” But, I was honored to be included and so I figured I’d give it my best try. I signed up for September, because I figured I’d need the extra time, but I got to work right away. I came up with my Quatrefoil block in January {go figure!} and have been anxiously waiting to share it with you for months now:

I love this block and the fabric you used. Thank you also for the free pattern. I still have some leftover scrumptious fabric pieces…..hmmmmmm :)!!
Wow I love the look of this block… would be a great one to use up scraps of fabrics from different ranges of same designer… thanks!
What a fun block, I love the secondary pattern too. Well done!
I think it’s beautiful! And you always seem to choose the perfect fabrics.
Should the eight squares of fabric D be cut at 2″, or at 2.5″ as stated in step 1?
Thank you for sharing.
